The entrance to El Torcal Natural Park is situated 6 km from Villanueva de la Concepión and 12 km from Antequera.
The park is one of the most impressive examples of Karstic landscapes in Europe; with unusual rock stacks like cheese rings. These rocks emerged from the sea floor during the Jurassic period.
One can take different walks once on El Torcal, for example for the intrepid, the “Ruta Verde” or “Ruta Amarilla”.
Other places of interest are the “Mirador de la Ventanillas” and “El Mirador de Diego Monea”.
Inside the information centre Centro de Interpretación El Torcal there is an exhibition where the visitor can discover more about the natural features and history of the park.
Open daily 10 to 17 clocks.
